Dr. David Prentice
David Prentice moved to Alaska as a child with his family by way of New Mexico and Hawaii courtesy of his father who was in the United States Air Force. Residing in Alaska since 1973, except for Outside training and education, David has really grown to love the outdoors. While obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Natural Sciences at the University of Alaska, he was also serving as a Flight Medic in the Alaska Army National Guard.
Working for several years in Alaska for the Boy Scouts of America, he helped to put on summer camp programs in various parts of Alaska. It was at this time in his life that he discovered Chiropractic care for himself after an accident at home and the recommendation of a co-worker. From this experience David became determined to set himself on a new career path to help others recover to an active life from their own injuries, as he had.
Dr. Prentice graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and immediately became licensed in the State of Alaska as a Chiropractic Physician. Living and working here ever since, for the last nine years his practice has been exclusive to the Active Duty servicemen and women at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson through the base hospital. With a personal passion for gently treating conditions of the upper neck, David also has a lot of experience and care for sports injuries and recovery- particularly with servicemen and women who engage in regular physical activity in their spare time. His number one goal is to get active people back to doing what they love as soon as possible.
With his wonderful wife Wendi and their four children, David enjoys camping, hiking, cycling, and backpacking in Alaska’s outdoors. Some of his favorite outdoor activities are canoeing on Alaska’s plentiful lakes, digging snow-caves in Hatcher’s Pass, and backpacking on the Resurrection Pass or Lost Lake trails.
